Prime Minister Hun Manet to Attend Inauguration Ceremony of Indonesia’s New President and Vice President

Phnom Penh – October 19, 2024: The Prime Minister's Spokesperson, Meas Sophorn, has confirmed that Prime Minister Hun Manet, will attend the inauguration of His Excellency Prabowo Subianto as the new President and Mr. Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the new Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia. The ceremony is set to take place on October 20, 2024, in Jakarta.

In an interview with the media, Meas Sophorn announced that Prime Minister Hun Manet is leading a high-level delegation to this significant event at the invitation of President Joko Widodo. This visit underscores the strong partnership and close diplomatic ties between Cambodia and Indonesia.

Beyond attending the inauguration, Prime Minister Manet is scheduled to engage in discussions with foreign dignitaries during his visit, aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation and address shared interests.

Meas Sophorn noted that the delegation is expected to return to Cambodia on the evening of October 20, further reinforcing the commitment to enhancing relations between the two nations.
